Ravens Men’s Golf Lands in First After Round One in New York

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (October 6, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team stands atop of the round one leaderboard following 18 holes at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout Friday.

The first place Ravens (291, +7) hold a nine-stroke lead 291 over second place foe, the host Golden Knights who have a 300 (+16) score. Fellow Northeast-10 Conference opponent Le Moyne College rounds out the top-three with a 306 (+22) showing.

Four Pierce golfers rank individually within the tournament's top-10. Sophomore Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) is the clubhouse leader as he shot a one-under first round score of 70. Classmate Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) is tied for third place with two other golfers as he turned in a 73 (+2) scorecard.

Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) golfed a 74 (+3) as he is deadlocked into sixth place with teammate Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) Finally, Anthony Vincequere (Millbury, Mass.) rounded out the Raven scores at 81 (+10).

The Crimson and Grey head back to the links tomorrow for the second round.
