Men's Golf Tied For Third Place Following 18 Holes at NE10 Championship
NEW LONDON, N.H. (October 2, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team headed back to the links late Monday morning for the first round of the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Championship hosted by Southern New Hampshire University.
The Ravens are currently tied for third place with Assumption College (298, +18) and are nine strokes behind Bentley University who stands all alone in the top spot with a 289 (+9) showing. Saint Anselm College ranks second at 292 (+12).
Sophomore Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) paces all Pierce golfers and is tied for sixth overall with a 72 (+2) card through the first 18 holes. Freshman Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) shot four over at (74) and sophomore Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) finished the day with a 75 (+5) score. Both golfers placed individually within the top-20 as Plis was tied for 11th and Myers was deadlocked into 16th place.
Senior Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) added a 77 (+7) for the day and Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) racked up an 80 (+10).
The Ravens tee off tomorrow for the final 18 of the championship.
