Men’s Golf Slated for Fourth Place Finish at NE10 Championship

RINDGE, N.H. (September 28, 2017) The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team has been chosen to place fourth at the 2017 Northeast-10 Conference Championship this coming Monday and Tuesday in a poll conducted by the leagues head coaches' that was announced Thursday morning.

The Ravens earned 57 points and no first place votes as they were selected for the fourth spot in the rankings. Last season, the Ravens were selected to finish fourth as well, but the Crimson and Grey placed fifth out of the 10 NE10 programs. Franklin Pierce is led by sophomore Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) who has three top 12 finishes this year including a runner up medal at the FPU Fall Invitational.

Host Southern New Hampshire University garnered 75 points and five first place votes to nab the top spot in the poll. Then Penmen are looking to capture their fourth title in program history. Last year's champion, Le Moyne College earned four first place votes and 74 points for the number two spot in the rankings. Bentley University snagged the final first place vote and 69 points and are projected for a third place finish.

The Championship will take place at the Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London, N.H. and the Ravens will tee off starting at 11:12 a.m.
