SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 14, 2017) – Coming off their best finish of the year, the Franklin Pierce University men's golf team placed third overall Friday at Le Moyne College's Mike Bello Spring Invitational played at the Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

It has been a successful week for the Ravens as their third place ranking was the highest of the season. The Crimson and Grey bested their fourth place showing at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational on Monday.

The Ravens took one stroke off their round one score to finish the day at 621 (+45). The host Dolphins took home the team title at 602 (+26) while Wilmington (DE) was the runner up at 610 (+34).

Freshman standout Keeton Foster (Chesterfield, N.H.) paced the Ravens with an 11th place finish at 153 (+9). Foster leapfrogged 17 spots on the individual leaderboard as he improved his round two score by five strokes. Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) recorded his best rounds of golf on the campaign with a season-best 14th place finish at 154 (+10).  

Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) shot a 157 (+13) and dropped one stroke during his second round of 18 to finish in a tie for 25th. Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) matched Myers with a 157 (+13) and Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) chipped in a 167 (+23).

The Ravens will head back to the links on Tuesday when they head to Rhode Island and the Newport National for a duel with Bentley.
