Men's Golf in Fifth at NE-10 Championships After Day One
VALATIE, N.Y. (October 2, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce men's golf team competed at day one of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Olde Kinderhook Golf Club in Valatie, N.Y. Sunday.
The Ravens head into the clubhouse in fifth place with a score of 305 (+17). Host Le Moyne leads the field at 290 (+2) followed by Southern New Hampshire (295, +7) and the College of Saint Rose (297, +9).
Junior Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) and freshman Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) led the squad after shooting 75 (+3) and stand in a tie for 14th place individually. Team captain Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) rounds out the top-20 finishes for FPU as he stroked a 76 (+4).
