Reigning Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Golfer of the Year, Franklin Pierce University women’s golfer Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and current Rookie of the Year Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) added another accolade to their successful 2016-17 campaign after their selection to the NE10 First Team it was announced Friday morning by the league offices. Teammate Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) was chosen to the women’s Second Team and on the men’s side, freshman Keeton Foster (Chesterfield, N.H.) earned a Second Team nod.

For the first time this year, the Franklin Pierce University golf programs have swept both the Northeast-10 Conference women’s and men’s golf weekly honors. Women’s team captain Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) earned the NE10 Player of the Week honor while Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) received the Rookie of the Week nod. For the men, Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) was selected as the NE10 Player of the Week while Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) snagged the NE10 Rookie of the Week award.

The Franklin Pierce University golf programs traveled to West Chester, Pa. for the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at the Penn Oaks Golf Club on Sunday and Monday. The women’s program led by co-medalist Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) won their third invitational this season while the men’s program placed fourth, their highest finish of the season.
