Men’s Golf 11th After First Day of Mike Bello Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 10, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team placed 11th, after shooting 319 (+31) in the first round at the Timber Banks Golf Club on Saturday. Senior Travis Landry (Loudon, N.H.) led the Ravens, as he shot 77 (+5) on the first day of the Mike Bello Invitational, hosted by Le Moyne.

The Ravens totaled 319 strokes today to put them 31 strokes above par, where they sit in 11th place after the first day.

Landry led the Ravens on the day, taking 77 total strokes to finish five above par and end day one with a tie for 22nd place.

Senior Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) finished just one stroke behind Landry, in a tie for 33rd after shooting 78 (+6).

Sophomore Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) and senior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) both shot 82 (+10) to tie for 61st.

The final Raven on the links today was sophomore Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.). Arisco took 86 shots to finished with a +14 on the day, to tie for 78th place.

Franklin Pierce returns to the course on Sunday for the second and final day of the Mike Bello Invitational.
