Men’s Golf 15th After First Day of Barton Intercollegiate

WILSON, N.C. (March 14, 2016) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team traveled to North Carolina this week, where they sit 15th after the first day at the Barton Intercollegiate, with a total score of 322. Senior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) led the Ravens on Monday, with a score of 77 (+5), which sits him at a tie for a 33rd at Wilson Country Club.

Senior Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) was just one stroke behind Auclair, with a total score of 78 (+6) on the day, and he is tied for 42nd place.

Sophomore Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) and senior Travis Landry (Loudon, N.H.) finished within a stroke of each other. Arisco finished with an 83 (+11) to sit in a tie for 69th, while Landry shot an 84 (+12) to tie for 71st.

Sophomore Taylor Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) rounded out the day in a tie for 79th, as he shot an 87 (+15).

Individually, there was a tie for first place after the first day, with the only two scores under par belonging to John Thatch from Mount Olive and Brian Norwitz from McDaniel College, with both shooting 70 (-2). Malcolm Oliver from Bentley, Derek Hamm from host Barton and Matt Paradise from Southern New Hampshire all shot par with a score of 72.

The Ravens head back out to the greens on Tuesday for the second and final day of the Barton Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club.
