Men’s Golf finish ties for fourth at Memorial Tournament
SHOREHAM, N.Y. (April 4, 2015) – Junior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) found himself with a round of 78 on Saturday, ultimately leading him to a second place overall finish and leading the Franklin Pierce University Men's Golf team to a fourth overall finish at the Memorial Tournament held at Dowling University.
Auclair's 78 paired with his 72 from Friday afternoon gave him a 150 total for the weekend. He finished three shots off the lead. The individual winner of the tournament went to Sam Riemer from Chestnut Hill College as he finished with a weekend total of 147. LeMoyne would finish first in the team portion of the tournament.
Freshman Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) found himself climb up the leaderboard on Saturday, as he finished with a 79 on the day, leading to a two day total of 155 and finishing tied for 14th. Not far behind was teammate Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.), finishing tied for 20th. The junior would shoot an 81 on the day, helping himself to two-day total of 157.
Other Ravens in action were freshman Will Pennington (Heswall, England), Hunter Byram (Coventry, Conn.), and Chris Pasto (Newton, N.H.). Pennington performed the best of the trio, shooting an 81 to combine with an 80 from Friday for a total of 161. Byram was able to shoot an 82, bettering his score of 84 from Friday for a two-day total of 166.
Pasto played in the tournament on an individual basis, and his scores did not count toward the Ravens team score. He shot a 90 on Saturday to combine with an 81 score from Friday, totaling a 171 overall for the weekend.
The Ravens take to the links next on April 12 and 13 for at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, Pa. The event is hosted by Westchester University.
