GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (October 10, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce men's golf team shot lights out on Friday, as the stand three strokes out of the top spot behind Southern New Hampshire at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout held at the Pinehaven Country Club.

Leading the way for the Ravens was junior Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) and freshman Hunter Byram (Coventry, Conn.) both shot a 75 in the opening round. After that, recently named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week, freshman John Abbott (Higganum, Conn.) carded a 77 to keep up his consistent play. Junior Sean Shepard (Griswold, Conn.) shot a 79 in his first action since the opening weekend, rounded out by junior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) who finished with an 80.

Southern New Hampshire leads the team bracket after three of their top guys finished atop the board, followed by Franklin Pierce in second. After that, it's Felician, Saint Rose, Saint Michael's, Dowling, Saint Anselm, Dominican, Sage, Bentley, and LeMoyne.

The Ravens take back to the links for day two of the tournament on Saturday at the Pinehaven Country Club.
