KEENE, N.H. (September 15, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce men's golf team was the main attraction on Monday, as they played host to the Franklin Pierce Invitational held at Bretwood Golf Club in Keene, N.H. The Ravens finished fourth as a team, while freshman Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.) shot a team best 76/76/152 on the day.

The Ravens shot well overall as a team, with junior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) who shot a second best 78/76/154 on the heels of Arisco. Other Ravens in action were freshman Hunter Byram (Coventry, Conn.) who shot 81/75/156, Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) finished with a 79/78/157, and freshman John Abbott (Higganum, Conn.) shot an 82/76/158.

Franklin Pierce also sent some individual players, as junior Sean Shepard (Griswold, Conn.), and freshman Chris Pasto (Newton, N.H.) and Matt Lawrence (Stamford, V.T.) all competed as well. Shepard finished with a 85/80/165, Pasto a 75/79/154, and Lawrence a 91/78/169.

Bentley took the overall team win shooting a 590, with AIC coming second shooting a 595, and Southern New Hampshire finishing third shooting a 608.

Individually, Southern New Hampshire's Jake Nutter and Bentley's Brett Chatfield tied for the tournament's top spot. Both finished with a final total of 143, with Nutter shooting 72/71/143 and Chatfield shooting 71/72/143.

The Ravens take the course next on Sunday and Monday, September 29-30 as they compete in the Northeast-10 Championships at Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London, N.H. hosted by Southern New Hampshire University.
