LODI, N.J. (December 3, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's bowling team ended the 2017 portion of their schedule Sunday at the Northeast Classic hosted by the Lodi Lanes.

Over the course of the two days, the Crimson and Grey dropped a total of 6,912 pins as they stayed in 19th place on the team leaderboard. The William Paterson University – Varsity team remained in the top spot as they earned first place with a total of 10,889 pins. Their JV1 squad gained a place in the rankings as they moved from third Saturday to second on Sunday with 10,332 pins. The Rochester Institute of Technology rounded out the top-three (10,155 pins).

Ben Drogue (Keene, N.H.) totaled the most pins across the two days. He tallied a 1,598 pinfall which was good enough for a 29th place finish out of the 139 bowler field, improving his spot in the rankings by five- a team-best three games over 200. Nick Fabiano (Emerson, N.J.) added the only other top-50 ranking as the newcomer knocked over 1,459 pins including a team tournament best game of 247. William Robinson (Keene, N.H.) (51st place, 1,439 pins) and Ryan DesRuisseaux (Goffstown, N.H.) (53rd place, 1,417 pins) just placed outside the top-50.

Day One - Saturday

The Ravens were in 19th place with a total pinfall of 4,018 through day one. Their high-game was their first roll of the meet when they dropped an 810. The William Paterson University varsity team (6,022 pins) held down the top spot while the Rochester Institute of Technology (6,000 pins) and the William Paterson JV1 squad (5,841) rounded out the top-three.

Drogue was the Ravens best bowler as he finished Saturday in 34th place. He dropped 1,060 pins and his high-game was a 231. Robinson closed out the Ravens top-50 individual showings, as he placed 50th with a 997 total wood score. He also racked up a team-best 246 in his squads high-game.

DesRuisseaux finished behind Robinson in 53rd place at 986. Fabiano rolled a 975 and a day best 247 in his final string of the day.

Day Two – Sunday

Drogue was the Ravens high bowler on Sunday as well. He led all bowlers by rolling up 538 in three games, which included a day-best 204 in his opening string. Fabiano totaled 484 and a Sunday personal-best round of 187. Robinson and DesRuisseaux bests were 160 and 153 respectively.

The Ravens head back to the alley in January for the Westchester Classic in Wappingers, N.Y.
