Men’s Bowling Caps off First Weekend at EIBC #1

OAKLAND, N.J. (October 29, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's bowling team ended their first ever weekend of competition at EIBC #1 hosted by the Holiday Bowl.

The Ravens ended the meet with 17 total points. Points were earned in head-to-head contests as the team that won collected one point and the team that dropped the most pins earned three. Franklin Pierce was victorious versus Molloy (W, 849, 786) and Sacred Heart W, (824-628). At the end of the day, the Ravens finished with a 2-4 mark.

Ben Drogue (Keene, N.H.) led all Raven bowlers with a total pinfall of 1,076 as he dropped the most pins in both victories. He led all players with a team event-high 209 against Molloy and he recorded a 205 in the win versus Sacred Heart. Teammate Nick Fabiano (Emerson, N.J.) rolled a day best 192 for his squad in the match against Sacred Heart, while Ryan DesRuisseaux (Goffstown, N.H.) had his best showing (178) in the duel versus Molloy.

William Robinson (Keene, N.H.) led all Ravens in the setback to St. John's as knocked over a 177 for his best score of the day. FPU tallied six and eight points apiece in their victories, which were a crucial part of their 17 total points.

Franklin Pierce heads back to the lanes for EIBC #2 at the Farmingdale Lanes in Farmingdale, N.Y.
