WALTHAM, Mass. (November 29, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team dropped a 105-69 contest to Northeast-10 Conference opponent Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Dana Center. With the loss, the Ravens drop to 3-3, 1-3 NE10 and the win improves the Falcons mark to 5-1, 3-0 NE10.

Senior team captain Mike McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) became the 34th member of the men's basketball programs 1,000-point club as he converted two freebies at the charity stripe with 17:27 left in the first half. Currently, McDevitt has 1,007 career points as he finished the game with eight markers, three rebounds, and one block.

Sophomore guard Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.) led all Ravens with 12 points while contributing three rebounds and three assists. Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) chipped in 10 points, four boards, one stuff and one theft. In limited minutes off the bench, junior forward Gerard Gray Jr. (Washington, D.C.) scored seven points and grabbed a team-high five rebounds. Freshman Sean Fasoyiro (Houston, Texas) was 2-of-3 (66.7%) from three-point land and snagged four boards for FPU as well.

Falcon junior guard Ryan Richmond led all players with 23 points to go along with four caroms and four assists. He scored 18 of his 23 markers in the first half. Seth Stankiewicz poured in 19 points off the bench on an 8-of-10 (80.0%) shooting performance.

Bentley began the contest hitting their first six shot attempts as they led 14-6. Seck answered by draining a transition three as the Ravens trailed 14-9. Following a Bentley timeout, senior forward Asante Sandiford (Boston, Mass.) buried a three from the left wing to cut the deficit to one possession at 14-12. On the next possession for the Falcons, Richmond connected on a long-range attempt. The threes kept raining in the early going as Fadojutimi rifled a catch and shoot trey from the left corner to cut the Raven deficit to two, 17-15.

Following a Seck three-ball, Bentley used an 18-6 scoring binge capped off by a Richmond steal and mid-range jumper to push the Falcons ahead by 15, 39-24. Franklin Pierce cut into their deficit as McDevitt notched a jumper assisted by Sandiford and layup from underneath.

Leading by 13, Bentley scored six consecutive markers by way of the three-pointers to increase their edge to 19, 48-29 with 4:30 remaining before the break. Following a timeout, the Ravens tallied five in a row to make it a 14 point game after good ball movement and an extra pass by David Bradbury (Deep River, Conn.) led to another Fadojutimi three-ball. Bentley outscored the Ravens 14-2 over the final four minutes of the stanza to lead 62-36 at the games halfway point.

The Falcons put up 16 more shots than the Ravens and were 26-of-46 (56.5%) from the hardwood and 9-of-15 (60.0%) from long range. They also were careful with the rock as they did not turn the ball over once during the first half.

The Ravens return to the hardwood on Saturday when they travel to NE10 opponent Stonehill College for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
