Field Hockey Has 11 Named to NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad

RINDGE, N.H. (April 4, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has had 11 student-athletes named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Academic Squad, as announced this spring by the NFHCA. Furthermore, the team earned the NFHCA’s National Academic Team Award.

Five Ravens Earn Spots on NE10 Academic All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (February 1, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University has had five student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced on Friday afternoon by the Conference office. Senior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the field hockey team, sophomore forward Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) and junior back Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) of the men’s soccer team, and junior forward Veronica Marques (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior back Marta Turmo (Barcelona, Spain) of the women’s soccer team, were all honored by the league. The selected Ravens were among 88 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

Field Hockey’s Moulton Named to All-NE10 Second Team

RINDGE, N.H. (November 14, 2018) – Senior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the Conference office.

Field Hockey Closes Out Season with 1-0 Loss at Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, N.H. (November 9, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team wrapped up its 2018 season on the road on Friday afternoon. The Ravens were shutout for the fourth time in their final six games, as they dropped a 1-0 decision to Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference play at Grappone Stadium.

Field Hockey Falls to Assumption, 2-1, in Home Finale

RINDGE, N.H. (November 7, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team closed out the home portion of its 2018 season on Tuesday afternoon. Senior forward Dayna Kowesky (Leominster, Mass.) opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, but Assumption answered with goals in the 44th and 48th minutes to come away as 2-1 winners in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 3, 2018) – A 15th-minute goal by junior Laura van der Doorn would ultimately spoil Senior Day on Saturday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team. The tally by the Southern New Hampshire forward would stand as the only goal of the game at Sodexo Field, as the visiting Penmen chalked up a 1-0 victory over the Ravens in Northeast-10 Conference play.

Field Hockey Comes Up Short at AIC, 3-2 (2 OT)

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 31, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team had a bit of a flair for the dramatic at Abdow Field on Wednesday night. The Ravens came from behind to tie the score twice, once on an extended corner after time had expired in the first half, and once with just 4:18 to play in regulation. However, it was home-standing American International which would provide the final theatrics on the night. The Yellow Jackets got a winner from senior forward Meghan Brock 3:13 into the second overtime to come away as 3-2 winners in the Northeast-10 Conference contest.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (October 26, 2018) – Senior back Delaney Yule scored a pair of goals on Friday afternoon to lead No. 3 nationally ranked Merrimack to a 3-0 win over the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team in Northeast-10 Conference play at Merrimack Stadium. Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Barnes (Greenwich, N.Y.) made seven saves in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

Field Hockey Blanked by Bentley, 3-0

October 23, 2018

RINDGE, N.H. (October 23, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team struggled to generate offense on Tuesday afternoon, in a 3-0 loss to Bentley in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. The Ravens were held to just six shot attempts, including three shots on goal, while Bentley uncorked 14 shot attempts, including seven on goal. Senior forward Morgan Van Epps scored the game-winning goal and later added an assist for the Falcons.

Field Hockey’s Moulton Selected to NFHCA Senior Game

RINDGE, N.H. (October 22, 2017) – Senior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been selected to participate in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Senior Game, as announced late last week by the NFHCA. She is among 38 student-athletes selected to participate in the event.

Field Hockey Falls at No. 10 LIU Post, 5-1

October 19, 2018

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (October 19, 2018) – Two goals in the opening seven minutes got No. 10 nationally ranked LIU Post started on the right foot on Friday afternoon at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium. The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team cut the gap to 2-1 on a goal from senior forward Rachel Lapointe (Greenfield, Mass.), but the host Pioneers added another before halftime and two more in the second half to deal the Ravens a 5-1 defeat in Northeast-10 Conference play. Sophomore midfielder Sammy Bell had a hat trick in the win for LIU Post.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 16, 2018) – The first collegiate goal from junior back Allison Collins (Sandown, N.H.) was all the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team needed on Wednesday night. The Granite State native struck on a corner attempt in the 45th minute at Sodexo Field, for the game’s only goal, as the Ravens scored a 1-0 victory over visiting Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference play.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 13, 2018) – Three goals in the opening 27 minutes opened up an early lead on Saturday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team. The Ravens added two more in the second half to go on to a 5-1 win over visiting Southern Connecticut State in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Senior forward Rachel Lapointe (Greenfield, Mass.) and junior forward Madison Gagnon (Milford, N.H.) had a goal and an assist each in the victory.

EASTON, Mass. (October 9, 2018) – A trio of first-half goals gave No. 3 nationally ranked Stonehill a lead it would never relinquish on Tuesday night at W.B. Mason Stadium. Senior forward Rachel Lapointe (Greenfield, Mass.) had her first career multiple-goal game for the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team, but the Ravens were defeated, 6-3, by host Stonehill in the Northeast-10 Conference contest. Senior forward Kacie Smith had a hat trick in the victory for the Skyhawks, while freshman forward Olivia Cameron added a pair of goals of her own.

(October 5, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team broke a three-game scoreless streak in emphatic fashion on Friday night, as the Ravens hung a six-spot on visiting New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Senior forward Dayna Kowesky (Leominster, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) put home a pair each, as Franklin Pierce rolled up a 6-0 victory over the Chargers.
