Northeast-10 Baseball Weekly Report (PDF)

RINDGE, N.H. (May 7, 2018) – Senior third baseman John Friday (Southborough, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been named Nortehast-10 Conference Player of the Week, for the week ending on May 6, as announced on Monday by the Conference office.

In a 5-0 week for the Ravens, Friday put together a .500/.640/.778 slash line for a 1.418 OPS over 18 at-bats (9-for-18). He hit two doubles and one home run, scored six times and drove in two runs. He also drew seven walks and stole one base. In the second game of a doubleheader against Saint Michael’s on Thursday, Friday hit 3-for-5 with a double, scored one run and drove in another. In a win over Saint Michael’s on Friday, he went 3-for-3 with a double and two walks and scored twice.

On the season, Friday’s slash line currently stands at .367/.470/.567 over 150 at-bats (55-for-150). He has hit 15 doubles and five home runs, scored 29 runs and driven in 22. He has recorded 25 walks against 15 strikeouts and has recorded four stolen bases in six attempts.

The Ravens (32-12-1) return to the field on Tuesday, May 8, when they open the postseason by hosting Merrimack in the first round of the NE10 Championship. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Pappas Field in Rindge.
