Former Baseball Standout Matt Walsh to be Inducted into Plymouth Athletic Hall of Fame

RINDGE, N.H. (April 25, 2018) -- Matt Walsh, who was a four-year standout for the Franklin Pierce University baseball team, will be inducted into the Plymouth Athletic Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 29. Walsh, who finished his career as the ranked second in program history in hits (253), was a member of the baseball team from 2012 through 2015 and started every game during his time in Rindge, primarily at catcher. He was a three-time All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team selection, a three-time consensus All-East Region selection and the 2011 NE10 Rookie of the Year. In addition to finishing second in hits, Walsh finished his career in the top 10 in program history games played (219), runs batted in (166) runs scored (147) and doubles (41). He was named the NE10 Championship's Most Valuable Player when the team captured the title in 2015 and backstopped the squad to the NCAA East Regional title in 2013.
