The Brockton newspaper took a look at the summer of the Dowd brothers, with Mike (as a player) and Sean (in the front office) both spending time with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He allowed just one earned run over 13 innings last week.

(June 30, 2010) – Outfielder Kevin Rivers (Bristol, Conn.), who played for the Franklin Pierce University baseball team from 2007 through 2009, has been named Northwest League Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on June 27. Rivers is currently playing with the Everett AquaSox, the Class-A, short-season affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

(June 2, 2010) – The East Region champion and national semifinalist Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been ranked No. 6 nationally in the final Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll, as announced Tuesday by the publication. In addition, the Ravens finished their 2010 campaign No. 7 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll and also placed seventh in the Ping!Baseball Top-30 Rankings.
