(UPDATE: 1 p.m. Saturday) Franklin Pierce Announces Schedule Changes

RINDGE, N.H. (March 19, 2015) -- Once again, wintry weather has forced the Franklin Pierce Department of Athletics to rearrange the schedules of its teams for the immediate future. Schedule changes over the next week are as follows:

- Friday, March 20: softball's recently-scheduled doubleheader at Nyack has been canceled. The games will not be made up.

- Saturday, March 21: baseball will now play at HOME against New Haven, in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader beginning at approximately 3 p.m. Pappas Field is in use hosting a neutral-site doubleheader between Becker and Elms beginning at 9:30 a.m., so the start time for the Ravens and Chargers is dependent upon the conclusion of those games. Franklin Pierce will play as the visiting team in both games.

- Saturday, March 21: softball's Northeast-10 doubleheader at Adelphi will now be played at Hofstra Softball Stadium, on the campus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. The twinbill will serve as the season opener for Ravens softball. (UPDATE 1 p.m. Saturday: These games have now been canceled.)

- Sunday, March 22: baseball's Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Southern Connecticut State has been canceled. The games will not be made up.

- UPDATE 1 p.m. Saturday -- Sunday, March 22: softball's Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Pace has been canceled.

- Tuesday, March 24: softball's Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division contest at home against Saint Michael's has been postponed. A makeup date has not yet been determined.

- Wednesday, March 25: baseball's scheduled Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division opener at Southern New Hampshire has been relocated to Pappas Field, with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Franklin pierce will play as the home team in this game. As a result of the location switch, the game between the two teams on Wednesday, April 22, which had been scheduled in Rindge, will now be played at Penmen Field in Manchester, N.H. at 6 p.m.

With questionable weather possible for Friday/Saturday, please check back for further updates as they become available. This story will be updated with any further schedule changes for this weekend's contests.
