Bio

Andrew Brown enters his first year as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Franklin Pierce University for 2018-19. He is in his second year with the Ravens, after spending the 2017-18 campaign as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Brown came to Rindge after a stop at American University, a NCAA Division I institution in Washington, D.C. where he was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

At American, Brown programmed and implemented all workouts for men's and women's track & field/cross country while he assisted with the training of both Eagles basketball programs and eight other varsity sport teams. He also implemented a speed and agility program for both soccer squads and the field hockey team. In May 2016, while in the nation's capital, he completed the CSCS National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification and is also Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid and Level 1 Sports Performance Coach USA Weightlifting certified.

Prior to his arrival in D.C., Brown was a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Maryland from January 2016 to August 2016. At College Park, he assisted with the lacrosse teams, the men's soccer program and 11 other varsity sports. Brown oversaw and led workouts for baseball, field hockey and women's golf when the head strength coach was traveling. He also programmed extra in season lift for low minute men's lacrosse players and modified workouts for injured track and field athletes.

A 2014 graduate of James Madison University, Brown received his bachelor of science in kinesiology and worked as a strength and conditioning intern for five months in the university's athletic department. He will pursue a master's degree in sports management here at Franklin Pierce and Brown also has experience working at the high school level.
